Byer's Media represents quality outdoor lifestyle magazines. Our goal is to become marketing partners with clients to help them acheive their marketing goals. Any one of our magazines will allow special opportunities to promote thier products.
Ken Byers - President
Interests: Hunting, shooting, fishing, outdoors and spending time with family.
Background: Worked at Williams Gun Sight Company from 1979 to the fall of 1989. Started as a part-time employee during my last two years in high school. Last five years at Williams I managed the retail store, handled used gun purchases/trade-ins and managed the inventory. November of 1989 I started with David Crosby & Assoc. representing the NRA Publications. I worked on the NRA titles until the summer of 2002. Jeff Young and I then partnered on Texas Hunting Magazine, On Target and Heartland USA. I also started my own ad agency, Byers Media, representing Bowhunting World, Archery Business and Bugle Magazine (Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation). I currently work on and have grown ad revenue for all titles: Heartland USA, On Target, Bugle, Bowhunting World and Archery Business.
Toby Shaw - Vice President
Interests: Hunting, shooting, fishing, outdoors and spending time with family.
Background: Worked in the family store from 1980 to 1988. Started working at a very young age and learned to treat people the “old fashion way” from my folks. In March of 1989 started working for Glen’s Market. While at Glen’s I ran a retail operation where I had up to 70 people working with me. In March of 2001 I started at Fernelius Chevy. I was very successful in all aspects for car sales. In the fall of 2003 I started working for Byers Media representing hunting magazines. Currently representing On Target, Heartland USA, Bowhunting World, Archery Business and Bugle Magazine (Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation).
Autumn Byers - Account Executive
Interests: Hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, hiking, Michigan football and spending time with family and friends.
Background: I graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College located in Watertown, Wisconsin in the spring of 2007 and graduated with a Marketing Management degree. I have been working with Byers Media since June 2007 and am excited to continue learning about the industry so I can help Byers Media serve our clients the best way possible.
